Opposition Members of Parliament (MPs) staged a protest march inside the Parliament complex on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, raising several issues and demanding answers from the Central Government. The MPs demanded that Union Home Minister Amit Shah respond to allegations of police brutality against students during recent protests. Several MPs from other opposition parties also joined the protest to express their support for the demands. As part of the demonstration, opposition MPs placed donation boxes near Makar Dwar. The protest concluded near Makar Dwar, where MPs displayed a large banner carrying the slogan “Amit Shah jawaab do.”
