The new policy aims to fill this gap by providing dedicated healthcare services and support for women at different stages of their lives. The policy is expected to encourage women to seek medical help without hesitation and reduce the stigma surrounding menopause and other women’s health issues. Apart from menopause, the policy is likely to address women’s health throughout their lives, including menstrual health, reproductive health, pregnancy care, mental health, nutrition, and healthy ageing. They believe that a dedicated women’s health policy will encourage early diagnosis, timely treatment, and better overall health outcomes.
