My nephew’s recent East Coast wedding provided my oldest daughter and me the chance to experience what I’m henceforth calling “the other buffalo hot spot.” ADVERTISEMENTVisitors to Fargo likely have noticed the artistically designed bison statues placed around town, but did you know they’re in Buffalo, New York, too? Each day, we got to admire a colorful one that stood proudly near a school across from our accommodations in South Buffalo. And contrary to what some might imagine, “buffalo wings” didn’t originate at the local B Dubs restaurant, but in New York’s second largest city. But my conclusion remains fixed, based on my lived experience of how, despite trials, life returns to blessing when we stay near God.
