Across the August Bank Holiday Weekend, services are set to be disrupted while the East Coast Digital Programme’s testing is carried out. Some services south of Peterborough towards London will be affected, with replacement buses in place from 20:00 on 29th August and 08:00 on 31st August. The digital signalling project was a £1.4 billion investment, which is in its final stages. It replaces traditional lineside signals with real-time information in the driver’s cab. Further information on journeys can be found with operators or via National Rail.
