Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu reviewed the development of schemes related to the Visakhapatnam Economic Region (VER) at a meeting held today (Wednesday) at the Secretariat. government had taken up the Visakhapatnam Economic Region project for attracting an investment of Rs.9.50 lakh crore through different projects. Further, he stated that the government would be contributing between Rs.3.50 lakh crore and Rs.4 lakh crore and an action plan is being prepared for mobilizing Rs.5.30 lakh crore from the private sector. CM Chandrababu remarked that the government intends to develop the Visakhapatnam region with the 'Bay City' project serving as the anchor project. CM Chandrababu emphasized that the Visakhapatnam Economic Region should achieve progress through the integration of various projects.
