By Izunna Okafor, AwkaWhat could be best described as an atmosphere of fear, grief and uncertainty has enveloped Ideani Community in Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State following the discovery of the lifeless bodies of three children inside the residence of a woman popularly identified as an Ezenwaanyi (female traditionalist) in the community. The horrifying discovery, which has continued to attract reactions from both within and outside the community, reportedly happened at Umuoduba Village, Ideani, where the woman is said to reside. Videos currently circulating on social media showed the Divisional Police Officer of the Ogidi Division, accompanied by community leaders, local security personnel and the President-General of the Ideani community, visiting the scene as investigations commenced. While speculations have continued to trail the incident, different versions of what might have happened have also emerged on social media. According to his own version of the story, the children allegedly consumed garri after secretly purchasing groundnuts on the night before the tragic incident, only for three of them to be discovered lifeless the following morning.
