However, according to The Telegraph, most of the degrees listed, including gender studies, queer theory and critical race theory, are rarely offered as standalone undergraduate programmes in the UK, and are more commonly available as postgraduate degrees or as modules within broader social science degrees.
Suella Braverman, Reform’s education spokesperson, argued young people have been “conned” into debt for “degrees that often leave them with poor job prospects while taxpayers are left footing the bill.”
Under a Reform government, Suella Braverman confirmed, there would be no student finance provided to institutions deemed to be “persistently failing universities offering poor-quality provision.”
