MORGANTOWN – In January, the city of Morgantown confirmed it was finalizing details with Red Bull and others to bring back the Motown Throwdown back to downtown Morgantown. On Tuesday, the city announced downtown Morgantown will be a stop in the Red Bull Chariot Race fall schedule. Branded by Red Bull as one of the nation's most unique amateur racing events, the homemade battlewagons will line up downtown on Oct. 24. The Red Bull Chariot Race invites teams to build the wildest rides possible and compete for prizes, bragging rights and the title of champion. Winning teams will receive:First Place: $1,500 and 60 cases of 8.4-ounce Red Bull Energy DrinkSecond Place: One-of-a-kind Red Bull ExperienceThird Place: Red Bull Party ExperienceProspective participants do not need engineering or fabrication experience to enter.
