Career Track, run by Tendring Council, has been helping residents into work since 1983 and remains a key route into employment for many young people. Today, one in five of the council's employees began their careers through Career Track, highlighting its long-term impact on the local workforce. The latest annual review showed Career Track achieved a success rate of 94 per cent during 2025/26 - significantly above the government's national apprenticeship target of 67 per cent. She said: “Career Track is about giving our residents a real chance to succeed. Career Track has also received external recognition, with Ofsted rating it as a "good" provider and praising the quality of training and support available to learners.
