Tuesday is forecast at around 28C, rising to 33C on Wednesday in parts of Essex, before easing back to about 25C on Thursday. The Met Office’s long-term forecast suggests the high temperatures are likely to continue. "Temperatures will probably be above average and some spells of hot weather and heatwaves are possible, especially in the south."
