VFW Post 4353 will hold a fundraiser to support Gold Star Mothers & Wreaths Across America Saturday, Aug. 15. The fundraiser will begin a 10:30 a.m. with a Gold Star Mom’s guest speaker, followed by lunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Gold Star Mothers core goals and activities include:• Honor the Fallen: Preserve the legacy and memory of service members who made the ultimate sacrifice. • Support Veterans: Volunteer time and resources to care for hospitalized and healing veterans in communities nationwide. • Promote Patriotism: Foster respect for the U.S. flag and the Armed Forces through civic engagement and communityVFW Post 4353 is at 8150 Stringfellow Road, St. James City.
