The Norwalk girls basketball team reached back-to-back state semifinals for the first time in two decades. Head coach Joe Sigrist told KNIA Sports this accomplishment put the Norwalk girls basketball program back on the radar. Taking it over three years ago, we’ve made strides each and every year, and this year was no different…We just put Norwalk basketball back on the map and, I think, for good.” To conclude the successful season, Norwalk graduated four seniors: Pearl Brown, Hannah Overholser, Ava Carlson, and Kara Scandrett. Brown earned First Team All-District, First Team All-Conference, and Third Team All-State, and Carlson and Overholser were each selected to the All-Conference Second Team.
