Samsung is working on a smartwatch that doesn’t run Wear OS

Now, we have discovered that Samsung is working on a new smartwatch that could be priced above the Galaxy Fit 4 but below the Galaxy Watch FE. We found references to a new Samsung wearable called Galaxy Aero. However, it appears to have a screen, as Samsung refers to it as “galaxy_rtos_watch” in the Galaxy Wearable app's codebase. Smartwatches that run RTOS usually use less powerful processors and can generally last at least a week on a single charge. Samsung could ultimately launch it under a different name, as Galaxy Aero may be only the device's internal codename.
