London Mayor's Office for Policing and Crime was found guilty of an offence under section 172(3) of the Road Traffic Act 1988, for failing to provide information about the identity of a driver of a Mitsubishi vehicle.
This failure was in response to a request from Durham Constabulary at Spennymoor on August 22, 2025, following an alleged offence.
The body entered a guilty plea on June 25.
At Peterlee Magistrates' Court on July 30, the court imposed a fine of £666, taking their guilty plea into account, plus £130 in costs and a £266 surcharge.
The court decided that a collection order was inappropriate in these circumstances.
