He thinks the desalination plant is necessary to keep up with population growth and droughts in the area. According to TCEQ documents, after the deadline for public comment, officials will consider the comments and prepare a response. The response to comments, along with the decision on the application, will be mailed to everyone who submitted public comments or who requested to be on a mailing list for the application. Public comments can be submitted on the TCEQ website.
