A new podcast is dedicating itself to the topic of wanting children and lesbian parenthood. “Mamas in der Mache” launches on August 5 on the major podcast platforms. The hosts, Lisa and Kate, accompany listeners on their own journey to parenthood—from early reflections to sperm donation and fertility clinics, through pregnancy and birth. Legal questions — such as stepchild adoption and the recognition of parenthood — that queer couples often encounter are to be addressed as well. As a German-French couple, they also plan to discuss cultural differences between both countries, for instance in pregnancy care, birth, and breastfeeding.
