Gauteng High Court declared Dlamini's precautionary suspension unlawful and set it aside.
On Tuesday, Mbongwe declared Dlamini’s precautionary suspension unlawful, invalid and of no force or effect, setting it aside with immediate effect.
Under section 6 of the PIC Act, the minister of finance appoints the CEO of the Public Investment Corporation (PIC) in consultation with the Cabinet.
PIC board is traditionally chaired by a deputy minister in the economic cluster.
The DA has previously said the PIC board must not be chaired by a politician, as recommended by the Mpati Commission.
