The current-model IndyCar is famed for its lack of power steering, making it much more physically demanding and a handful to drive on street courses in particular. At its launch, the new Dallara-built car does not have power steering. They probably think they could go right in and turn the wheel themselves. I think that’s exciting. I think that’s been the focus.
