In the village of Zhany-Tilek, Ak-Talaa district of Naryn region, mudflows overflowed a protective channel and flooded the yards of 18 residential houses, the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported. According to updated information, water entered the basements of two houses. The yards of five more homes are covered with mudflow deposits. One piece of special equipment, 12 rescuers and eight civil protection service employees are involved in the operation — 20 people in total. The Ministry of Emergency Situations had previously warned of possible mudflows due to heavy rains.
