Master by research students can access the living allowance for up to two years, while doctoral students are eligible for up to 3.5 years. The university notes that the allowance may be indexed annually and covers limited paid sick, maternity, and parenting leave. The total scholarship value, including fee remission and the living allowance, ranges between AUD 89,000 and AUD 155,000 (approximately KSh 8 million to KSh 14 million) depending on the degree and duration. To be considered, applicants must have received an offer for a graduate research degree commencing in the year for which the scholarship is awarded.
