The Sliema Local Council has paid tribute to the Cleansing and Maintenance Division workers who are out before dawn every day to keep one of Malta’s busiest promenades clean. Sharing a post on social media, the council highlighted the early-morning efforts that take place long before most people are awake. “While most of Sliema is still asleep, the Cleansing and Maintenance Division is already hard at work carrying out the daily washing and cleaning of the Promenade,” the council wrote. The council explained that the operations begin in the early hours of the morning, helping ensure the waterfront remains clean, hygienic and welcoming for the thousands of residents and visitors who use it every day.
