A mosque in downtown Regina has resumed its weekly broadcast of the Muslim call to prayer after stopping due to backlash, including threats.
Regina City Jamia Masjid started broadcasting the three-minute call to prayer, known as the adhan, on Fridays over the noon hour in June.
A loudspeaker on top of the mosque will broadcast the call to prayer over the noon hour Fridays.
(Michael Orthner/CBC)Eight of those 30 people are in favour of the broadcast, Rahaman said.
Despite the earlier threats to the mosque, Rahaman said he doesn't think resuming the broadcast poses a safety risk.
