A tribunal ruled the actions of Dr Patrick Hart amounted to serious misconduct and criminal behaviour that undermined trust in the profession.
He qualified in 2010 and worked at Bridge View Medical Practice in Bristol, and was brought before the Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service over protests at fuel sites in Essex in 2022.
On 24 August 2022, Hart led a further Just Stop Oil protest at the Esso service station at Thurrock.
Two years later, in October 2024, Chelmsford Crown Court convicted him of criminal damage over £5,000 relating to the same incident.
At the fitness‑to‑practise hearing in October 2025, Hart admitted the contempt of court, criminal damage and aggravated trespass.
