RunFest will return from 20-22 August 2026, bringing together races, seminars and coaching, and with something for every runner. The event was set up last year to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Shetland running group ZE Run and included a mass 10km race through Lerwick to mark the milestone. This year, RunFest will begin on Thursday 20 August with a coached session looking at running technique, which will prepare runners for a handicapped hill race up Staney Hill. RunFest 2025 marked a decade of the ZE Run group, organised by Linda and Russell Gair of GymGair, which meets every Thursday and encourages runners to remain committed and inspired by their fellow members.
