(ABC 6 News)- Things could be looking different at Rochester Public Schools in the 2027-2028 school year, thanks to a new plan from the school board.
The district will also be combining grades K-2 at Churchill Elementary with grades 3-5 into a single K-5 school at Hoover Elementary.
The transition is something that school leaders said will be the biggest adjustment for those in each school.
You grow connected to the school your child is going too,” said Jean Marvin, on the Rochester School Board.
The total cost of the realignment will be over $44 million, with RPS saying they expect to have construction begin next summer, with all changes expected to be completed at the start of the 2027-2028 school year.
