The body of a Scottish man who died after being shot “multiple times” on a Caribbean island in St Vincent and the Grenadines is to be returned home for his funeral. Daniel Vettrino, from Fife, was found on the island of Canouan with multiple gunshot wounds to his body and later pronounced dead. STV News has contacted the Royal St Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RSVGPF). He moved from Scotland to Egypt in 2015 and later travelled to Saint Vincent and the Grenadines for work in 2024. Described as “A beloved son, brother, uncle and nephew”, his family have paid tribute and announced his body will now be returned to Scotland.
