Furness Building Society has announced a long-term pledge to reinvest five per cent of its annual pre-tax profit into supporting charities and community organisations across Cumbria and Lancashire. As a mutual, Furness Building Society is owned by and run for the benefit of its members rather than external shareholders, allowing it to channel profits into products, services, and the wider community. "Its new initiative shows that Furness isn't just talking about supporting local communities – it's making that commitment part of how it does business."
