The Aodh Ruadh GAA club has lodged plans for a new building at its Mundy’s Field facility in Ballyshannon. Aodh Ruadh are seeking permission for the contraction of a new gym building that will incorporate changing rooms. The application, submitted by Tom Daly, the Chairman of the Park Development Committee of the Aodh Ruadh GAA club, also provides for all associated site works. Mundy’s Field, next to the old Workhouse in the Erne-side town, was brought back into the club’s ownership in the 1980s. A 53-house development was imminent on the site when Aodh Ruadh purchased the site - which it had been renting for few years - from Donegal County Council.
