A holidaymaker spent the last day of his Highland vacation in court after being collared for drink-driving on the Kessock Bridge.
Frenchman Vianney Alphe (44) pleaded guilty to being three-and-a-half times the legal drink drive limit when he appeared at Inverness Sheriff Court on Friday.
The court heard that Alphe, of Rue Du Gros Raisin, Orleans, was stopped after police saw a car veering between road markings on the Kessock Bridge at around 12.50am.
He also told the court that the pair would be flying out of the country later in the day.
