Picture: ParklandsResidents at a Fortrose care home experienced the sights, sounds and flavours of India during a day of traditional food, music, dance and cultural activities. Organised with the support of colleagues from the Indian subcontinent, the celebration at Eilean Dubh saw residents create Indian-inspired greeting cards, prepare the popular sweet treat gulab jamun, sample masala chai and enjoy a delicious home-cooked Indian meal. Residents were also treated to a traditional Indian dance performed by carer Ancy Saji Abraham, who is originally from Kerala.
