Fortrose care home residents spice up their day with Indian celebration

Picture: ParklandsResidents at a Fortrose care home experienced the sights, sounds and flavours of India during a day of traditional food, music, dance and cultural activities.
Organised with the support of colleagues from the Indian subcontinent, the celebration at Eilean Dubh saw residents create Indian-inspired greeting cards, prepare the popular sweet treat gulab jamun, sample masala chai and enjoy a delicious home-cooked Indian meal.
Residents were also treated to a traditional Indian dance performed by carer Ancy Saji Abraham, who is originally from Kerala.

They had great fun taking part in the activities, trying traditional treats and enjoying Ancy's traditional dance performance.
