The Met Office warning, which originally covered an area south of Inverness and east across to Rothes, Keith and Peterhead, has now been extended further to the north and west. "Heavy, slow-moving showers and some thunderstorms are likely to break out during Wednesday afternoon," said a Met Office spokesperson.
