The 18-year-old was arrested at his home in Kesteren, Gelderland, on Friday evening by a police special intervention team (DSI) acting on information from the intelligence agency AIVD. “At this point in the investigation we have not identified a clear target or moment for an attack,” the prosecution service (Openbare Ministerie) said in a statement. Last week three youths aged 16, 17 and 19 were arrested in overnight raids at homes in Rotterdam, Alkmaar and Eindhoven. The other two were among a group of 14 people aged between 14 and 30 who were arrested last April on suspicion of inciting terrorism via the social media platform TikTok.
