Mountain Home sales tax collections remain ahead for year

Mountain Home’s latest sales tax report reflects mixed results, with city sales tax collections slipping slightly for the month but remaining ahead of last year’s pace overall.
Figures released by Mountain Home Finance and Treasury Director Alma Clark show the city’s sales tax collections totaled $625,373.45 for July, reflecting May sales.
Despite the monthly decline, city sales tax collections remain up 2.7% year-to-date, an increase of $109,495.08.
Year-to-date, the city’s share of county sales tax collections has increased nearly 4.9%, totaling $93,812.77.
Public Safety Sales Tax collections came in at $234,515.04, down $984.86 from a year ago.
