A new charity campaign, Heart of Pocklington, hopes to raise funds for 25 new defibrillators. Mr McGowan said: "I had no warning. Yorkshire Ambulance Service advised that 25 additional units are needed to ensure no resident is more than 600 metres from a device. Mr McGowan said: "We are committed to raising funds to support the installation of these units. "With Heart of Pocklington, we hope to take the ‘luck’ element out of future emergencies and have more positive outcomes for our community."
