Transport for London (TfL) has appointed AECOM to carry out a feasibility study examining the depot and sidings infrastructure needed to support the Bakerloo Line Upgrade. The Bakerloo line is currently operated by trains that first entered service in 1972. Shadi Shekarrizi, Rail Director for London and the South East at AECOM, said: This is a significant milestone in the Bakerloo Line Upgrade programme and the next step towards improving efficiency, capacity and connectivity across the line. AECOM has also undertaken other London Underground projects, including design services with WW+P Architects for four proposed stations on the planned Bakerloo Line Extension into south-east London. The depot and sidings feasibility study is expected to inform future design and planning decisions as TfL continues developing the Bakerloo Line Upgrade programme.
