Millions of Australians will be slugged with higher rates for their superannuation services, as the nation’s largest fund lifts its administration fees. In an update to its more than 3.6 million members, AustralianSuper said it was increasing the administration for the first time since 2022. This study was based on 20 major super fund call centres, with overall customer service found to be inconsistent, unclear and often short of basic expectations. No super fund in the study performed well. “As a profit-to-member fund, every dollar we collect in fees is used to operate and strengthen the fund on behalf of members.”
