The campaign has gathered momentum following confirmation that Jessie Cole and Albert Bowers remain eligible for early release under the Government's plans to ease prison overcrowding. Earlier this week, it was reported how Mrs Harper said the family had been “let down again” after the killers remained eligible for early release. Thames Valley Police’s Police and Crime Commissioner, Matthew Barber, also criticised the decision, saying it “cannot be allowed”. He said: “PC Andrew Harper was killed in the line of duty just seven years ago. PC Harper with his wife, Lissie on their wedding day, less than one month before he was killed.
