The Associated Press has called the GOP Primary for U.S. House District 1 for incumbent Rep. Jack Bergman. Bergman will face off against the winner of the Democratic primary for U.S. District 1 in the General Election. The General Election will be held on November 1. A Democrat has not held the District 1 seat since Bart Stupak, who chose not to seek reelection in 2010 and left the seat in January 2011. U.S. House District 1 represents the entire Upper Peninsula and a large portion of the northern part of the Lower Peninsula.
