The Associated Press has called the Republican State Senator 38th District race in the Michigan Primary Election for Representative David Prestin. Prestin began representing District 108 in 2023. He works as a volunteer firefighter and paramedic and has also worked as a property manager. He has run on affordable energy, gun rights, being pro-life and protecting small businesses. He will go on to face Democratic candidate Kelli Van Ginhoven, who ran unopposed, in the November election.
