ROCHESTER — Townies Philly Kitchen & Bar will need to compete if it wants to renew its contract to operate in the Soldiers Field Golf Course clubhouse.
“At that five-year mark, especially in an industry like a restaurant, it’s the time right now where you start seeing changes,” he told the Rochester Park Board.
Townies opened for business in the Soldiers Field Golf Course clubhouse in January 2022, expanding is service through the first months of the year.
Widman said the process will involve putting out a call for proposals, while also reaching out to potential vendors to see if there is interest.
ADVERTISEMENTOnce proposals are received, he said they will be vetted by parks staff and up to three Park Board members before a recommendation is made, which he said could come as early as November.
