Paws-itive Perspectives: Is your dog social or socialized? If I am socializing a puppy, I am teaching them that the world is generally safe and unremarkable. When you take your dog to the dog park to socialize them, you meet some other dog lovers, spend some time socializing with them and having a lovely time at the dog park. Don’t get me wrong, there are some lovely social dogs who enjoy the dog park and the social life it provides. They need to know other dogs exist and it’s generally safe to walk past them without an interaction.
