A 30-year-old man, Chinmereuche Nwokonma on Wednesday stood before an Ota Magistrates’ Court in Ogun for allegedly defrauding a man of 5.7 million. Nwokonma, whose address was not stated is standing trial on a two-count charge of fraud and stealing. He alleged that the defendant failed to make the the supply but converted the money to his personal use. The offences contravene the provisions of sections 319(9) and 419 of the Criminal Law of Ogun State, 2006. Fadairo granted the defendant bail in the sum of N600, 000 with one surety in like sum.
