Mexico is one of the region’s most important markets for credit expansion, and the deal gives Equifax an established local platform with deep historical credit data. The transaction also illustrates how global financial data companies are increasingly using acquisitions of regional players to expand their data capabilities and support cross-border financial services. Círculo de Crédito is Mexico’s only provider of both consumer and commercial credit bureau services. Equifax said the acquisition will also support financial inclusion in Mexico by expanding access to credit decisioning tools. Círculo de Crédito generated an estimated $134 million in revenue and $62 million in adjusted EBITDA during the 12 months ended June 30, 2026.
