Chandra Pollock, who has more than 25 years of experience in place management, BIDs, and stakeholder engagement, will take on the role for Carlisle’s Great Border City BID.
She said her first priority would be to "understand what matters most" to Carlisle businesses and help turn those priorities into "practical action."
The Great Border City BID, funded by a levy on business rates and running for five years, was established after Carlisle businesses supported the proposal in a postal ballot last autumn.
The BID aims to drive economic growth and position Carlisle as a dynamic, inclusive, and future-ready destination.
