The 70‑minute show is perfectly timed for a day trip to the Fringe, with direct trains from Penrith station to Edinburgh. Written by award‑winning Cumbrian actor and writer Emma Rydal – whose credits include East is East, Stella and Red Rose – the production stars fellow Cumbrian performers Toby Gaffney and Stephanie Bradshaw. The Fringe run has been part‑funded by Ruth Jones’ production company Tidy Productions and is directed by Peter Macqueen. One audience member described it as “disturbingly familiar”, while another praised the “great cast, great acting and a great script”. North West End UK described the production as “seriously amusing”, “intelligent” and “thought‑provoking”, also giving it four stars.
