In her email she said: “The site will accommodate no more than 50 pitches at any one time. The site will be used exclusively for tents, campervans and motorhomes. “It seems to us that the proposed temporary campsite is therefore not permitted as it is within the curtilage of a listed building.” And John and Anne Hawson, also from Bowness on Windermere, objected and said there would be issues with excess noise from those staying at the site. “This is the thin end of the wedge and before long every green field around Bowness could become a holiday camp.”
