Callum Riddell, 34, of Westlands in Haltwhistle, appeared at Carlisle Magistrates' Court on July 31, where he pleaded guilty to one count of drug driving. The offence took place on April 15 on the A69 Brampton bypass in Cumbria, where Riddell was found to be driving an Audi with 2.7 micrograms of Delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) per litre of blood. Riddell was handed a 16-month driving ban and fined £1,024. He was also ordered to pay £85 in prosecution costs and a £410 victim surcharge. A guilty plea was taken into account during sentencing.
