The valuation range and proposed timetable have not previously been reported and remain subject to change following investor feedback. The proposed valuation represents a significant reduction from Shein‘s previous private market valuations. According to one source, Shein is prioritising a valuation that will support the company’s share price after listing rather than seeking the highest possible valuation. The source added that some prospective cornerstone investors are pushing for a valuation nearer to $30bn (£22.6bn)-$32bn (£24.1bn). If achieved, a valuation of between $30bn (£22.6bn) and $40bn (£30.1bn) would place Shein broadly in line with H&M, which is valued at around $26bn (£19.6bn).
