National Highways is closing a 15-mile stretch of the A12 between junctions 19 and 25 to carry out major resurfacing work. The second phase will close the northbound carriageway from junction 19 to 25 between September 14 and October 10. The diversion passes through Chelmsford Garden Community, and is expected to cause congestion and delays on nearby roads during the closures.
