The fire broke out in a garage on Hale Road at around 10.30pm, according to Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service. Fire engines and relief crews attended from Penketh, Frodsham, Winsford, Middlewich, Malpas, Knutsford, Northwich, Tarporley, and Congleton fire stations. Also in attendance were the command unit from Northwich Fire Station and two fire engines from Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service. A fire service spokesman said: “Crews were called to a car fire in a garage that had spread to a nearby house. “Thermal imaging cameras were used to check for hotspots, and crews removed areas of burning straw to help prevent further fire spread.
